Sue Ryder - Walk to Remember

Sue Ryder normally host an event called Starlight Hike which last year alone brought in over £100,000. However, due to the current restrictions surrounding Covid-19, we are unable to host this year's Starlight Hike.

Events such as this are vital in our efforts to raise the much needed funds required to care for the people of Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds in the most challenging times of their lives.

With this in mind, we have chosen to adapt some of our much loved events to comply with restrictions and are instead hosting a virtual event named Walk to Remember.  Our Walk to Remember event is a 5 or 10k walk in memory of a loved one. The idea is for walkers to get together with family and friends (at a safe distance of course) and use this as an opportunity to dedicate something to a person they love, and simultaneously raise vital funds to support our work here at Leckhampton Court Hospice. Walkers will be taking part by walking on any day in October or on our official event day of October 17th.

Details of how to participate on their web page.

It also explains how to access a wide range of services that are available for people who need extra care or support, whether that’s in their own home or in a care home.
